Print materials and event branding are things people see and touch. A poster on the street, a banner at a conference, a flyer at a reception desk — all of these build recognition and attract attention. Let's break down how to do it right.
Types of Print Materials
Posters
For concerts, festivals, exhibitions, theatre shows. Sizes from A3 to A0. A poster's job is to grab attention in a second and convey the essence of the event.
Banners
For outdoor advertising, facade decoration, exhibition stands. Roll-up banners, press walls, floor graphics. Sizes are virtually unlimited.
Flyers and Leaflets
For distribution at events, placement in cafes and shops. A5 or A6 format — compact and effective.
Brochures and Catalogues
For presenting services, products, and companies. Tri-fold brochures, multi-page catalogues with professional photography.
Certificates and Diplomas
For courses, conferences, corporate awards. Elegant design underscores the significance of the recognition.

What Affects Print Design Pricing
Pricing depends on several key factors:
- Type of material: poster, banner, flyer, brochure, or full event package
- Design complexity: minimalist or with detailed graphics and illustrations
- Number of sides/panels: single-sided flyer vs multi-page brochure
- Number of variations: one layout or a series for different events
- Timeline urgency
We do design and usually handle printing as well. For complex or non-standard solutions, we can find a trusted partner and oversee the production.

Preparing Files for Print
Getting files right is crucial — otherwise the result will disappoint:
Technical requirements:
- Colour space: CMYK (not RGB!)
- Resolution: 300 dpi for small print, 150 dpi for banners
- Bleed: 3–5 mm on each side
- Safe zone: text no closer than 5 mm to the edge
- Fonts: outlined or embedded
We always deliver print-ready files — no issues at the print shop.
Our Process
- Brief: discuss the task, format, deadlines
- Concept: 2–3 visual directions
- Design: detailed work on the chosen direction
- Revisions: 2 rounds of revisions included
- Print preparation: files in the required formats
- Print supervision: if needed — visit to the print shop
Print Design Tips
For posters:
- One main visual element
- Large headline, readable from a distance
- Minimal text — date, time, venue
- High-contrast colours
For banners:
- Consider the viewing distance
- Logo — large
- No more than 7 words of text
- QR code for additional information
For flyers:
- Strong headline on the front side
- Details on the back
- Call to action (CTA)
- Contact information
Common Mistakes
- RGB instead of CMYK: colours will look washed out
- Low resolution: blurry print
- No bleed: white strips along the edges
- Too much text: nobody will read it
- Poor photos: graphics are better than stock photos
